Safe and Sober Living for 1 month $1000

Seventy-five percent of justice-involved women have experienced homelessness prior to incarceration and many are exiting incarceration into homelessness. Many are working to reunify with their children and need a place to be together. Having a safe and stable home is a key factor in providing the stability women need to heal and thrive.

  • Accommodations: room in a sober living environment for one month 

  • Basic linens: sheets, pillow, towel, washcloth

  • Basic pantry & fresh food items: one week of basic pantry essentials & fresh food

Hygiene Kit $100

Each hygiene kit provides women with needed tools to ensure they can navigate the process of exiting incarceration with their basic needs met. These simple items can provide women with dignity and confidence.

  • Basic Toiletries: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste (including those for textured hair)

  • Feminine Hygiene Products: Pads, tampons, panty liners

  • Skincare Items: Moisturizer, soap, lip balm

  • Personal Care Items: Hairbrush, comb, hair ties, nail clippers

  • Cleansing Wipes: For general cleanliness

  • Reusable Tote/Travel Bag: To carry the items

Kits for Kids $250

Eighty percent of justice-involved women are mothers, often sole caregivers to minor children. Incarceration is disruptive, traumatizing, and scary for her and her children. Many children of incarcerated women end up in foster care. This means kids lose their parent, their home, and most of their belongings. Keeping families intact is our primary goal, but when we can’t, we do what we can to provide some comfort and normalcy during the period of separation.

  • Clothing Items:  t-shirts, pants, socks, underwear, shoes

  • School Supplies: Age-appropriate backpack, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, binders/folders, journals 

  • Toys or Books: Age-appropriate toys, coloring books, storybooks

  • Hygiene Items: Kid-friendly toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, moisturizer

  • Comfort Items: stuffed animal, squishmallow, pillow, blanket & nightlight

Dress for Success Package $500

The women we work with are ready and eager to work! They are already worried about answering “the big question” about their criminal history, so we do what we can to help them look professional so they feel prepared and confident to reenter the workforce.

  • Professional attire & shoes : attire appropriate for job interview

  • Accessories & undergarments: Underwear, hosier, simple jewelry, a belt, and a professional bag

  • Grooming Supplies: hygiene items and basic makeup if desired
